Hailey Wong

Hailey Wong is a student-athlete at the University of Pennsylvania, where she plays on their Division I Varsity Squash Team and studies Finance at the Wharton School of Business. Hailey graduated from Diocesan Girls’ School in 2024. During her time there, she founded Because Mental Health, a student-led organization aimed at creating space for honest conversations about mental well-being.
Drawing from her experiences at both DGS and Penn, Hailey reflects on how mindset, environment, and self-awareness have shaped her approach to sports and academics. In her talk, she shares how being a student-athlete has helped her build strength and confidence to face challenges both on and off the court. Hailey also addresses the pressures of comparison and mental health, offering a candid look at what it means to grow through the process rather than focusing solely on the outcome.
Jason Chan
Clinical Professor and Chairman of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong
Professor Chan is currently Clinical Professor and Chairman of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, as well as the Assistant Dean (Student Development) in the Faculty of Medicine.
Having studied in multiple institutions, including Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’ School of Medicine in London and Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, Professor Chan’s clinical expertise covers the full breadth of head and neck surgery and a global perspective of healthcare. With his co-founded robotics startup Agilis Robotics Ltd., Professor Chan’s investigations focus on minimally invasive approaches, in particular, transoral robotic approaches for head and neck tumours.
Steph Ng
CEO of Body Banter, Award-winning mental health advocate
Steph Ng is an award-winning mental health advocate, educator, and Ph.D. researcher. Informed by her lived experiences in eating disorder recovery, Steph’s research and advocacy work integrates the relatability of personal narrative with the rigor of empirical insight. Her PhD research explores how stories of mental health struggle can be transformed into powerful advocacy tools to destigmatize mental illness in Hong Kong society. Her advocacy work takes diverse formats, ranging from empowering youth in Hong Kong to spark conversations about body image through her mental health charity Body Banter, to authoring “Big Bites Break Boundaries”, a memoir that recounts her personal experiences with an eating disorder and her professional experiences in Hong Kong’s mental health landscape.

William Chu

Mr. Chu is a Partner at SparkLabs Group, a network of
accelerators and early stage funds across the globe. The group has invested in over 400 companies since its inception. Its portfolio includes OpenAI, Epic Games and many other promising tech companies from around the world. Mr. Chu leads the SparkLabs AIM AI Fund in Saudi Arabia, targeting AI companies from around the world and helping them scale in the MENA/KSA region. The fund is a partnership with the National Technology Development Program (NTDP), part of the MCIT (Ministry of Communications, Information and Technology). He also led the group into a partnership with Chinese insurer Ping An Group, and launched the Ping An Cloud Accelerator powered by SparkLabs, targeting fintech, health tech, and smart cities startups seeking growth in China. Mr. Chu received a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Harvard University. He is also an alumnus of Diocesan Boys’ School.
