Join us and gain inspiring insights on “HEROES: Unveiling Your Heroism” by attending our upcoming event, TEDxAvicenna Cinere School Pre-Event on May 24th, 2025 and Main Event on June 22nd, 2025.

TEDxAvicenna Cinere School is a TEDx Youth event that brings together young minds, passionate thinkers, and inspiring speakers to share ideas worth spreading. The event is part of a series of activities that culminate in a main event following pre-events that encourage participation and idea-sharing among students and the broader community. This involves synergy among teachers, staff, students, and speakers, with the support of the school and sponsors. TEDxAvicenna Cinere School celebrates the brilliance and potential of the next generation. Join us for an unforgettable experience that empowers, educates, and inspires youth to shape the future.

Aisha Aji

Student

Aisha Kinanti Aji, known as Kinan, is a 15 year old student currently studying in 9th grade at Avicenna Cinere Junior High School. She is going to high school and has a dream of studying overseas. Kinan is a highly productive student who creates drawing and frequently participates in school exhibitions. Besides art, she is also interested in science, analytical thinking, and logic. This has given her a broader perspective. Her curiosity pushes her to seek explanations rather than accept uncertainty. She often battles with expectations. “Why does that happen?” and “How will things be?” are questions she continues to ask. In her talk, she unravels the explanations behind the challenges we often go through, what a hero experiences, and how to keep moving forward. Aisyah Thoriq

Aisyah Thoriq is an 11th grader at Avicenna Jagakarsa Senior High School, a 17-year-old girl from Jakarta. She finds comfort in sketching, painting, and styling outfits that reflect her mood. Whether she’s curating collages or experimenting with color, Aisyah uses fashion and art to express her thoughts and tell stories. From school projects to Instagram posts, she’s always done it in her own style. She will be one of the speakers at the TEDxAvicenna Cinere School Pre Event on May 24th, 2025.

Bintang Utama

Professional 3D Character Animator

Bintang Rizky Utama, a high school graduate who became a professional 3D character animator in 2014, is known for some of your favorite cartoons like Adit, Sopo & Jarwo, Kiko, Nussa and recently JUMBO (the No. 1 Indonesian animated movie of all time in ASEAN). He is also interested in filmmaking. In 2015, he directed a short film (Indonesia Muda), which was nominated for Best Editing and Best Film at the BCA Short Film Festival. He believes animation helps us become more empathetic by learning how things work physically and psychologically to tell believable stories. When he was four, he enthusiastically asked his dad how cartoons were made. His dad’s response became one of Bintang’s core memories and has impacted his career to this day. Bintang’s TEDx Talk encourages individuals interested in animation not only to move things but also to understand life because EVERY GESTURE MATTERS. He will be one of the speakers at the TEDxAvicenna Cinere School Main Event on June 22nd, 2025.

Dahayu Rachmat

Dahayu Sali Rachmat is a 14 year old student from Avicenna Cinere Junior High School. She used to have a passion for dancing since preschool, but when the COVID-19 lockdown happened, she took a break. After things settled down, she wanted to try something new and is now active in cheerleading. One of her biggest hobbies is talking, and now public speaking has become a new playground for her. In the future, she wants to study law or psychology. She sometimes wonders if her life purpose is just to be a sidekick, but she believes that everyone can be their own hero. She will be one of the speakers at the TEDxAvicenna Cinere School Pre Event on May 24th, 2025.

Meet Faiza Kayana Putri, an 11th grade student at Avicenna Cinere Senior High School who thrives in the space between creativity and curiosity. With a love for the arts, a passion for music, a competitive spirit in sports and a strong commitment to her academics, Faiza has always followed her curiosity wherever it leads. For a long time, she believed she had to excel in everything to prove her worth. Little did she know, the qualities that truly mattered were already within her. In her talk, Faiza shares how her journey led her to redefine what it means to be a hero showing that it is not through achievements or recognition, but through everyday acts of care and courage. She invites the audience to appreciate the power of simply being present and genuine in a world that often overlooks those quieter moments. Faiza will be one of the speakers at the TEDxAvicenna Cinere School Main Event on June 22nd, 2025.

Faza Aksomo

Faza is a 14 year old 8th grade student at Avicenna Cinere Junior High School. As a teenager, Faza was exposed to video games at a young age, which sparked his interest in the competitive gaming environment. Other than that, he is just an ordinary student. In pursuing his dreams, video games have somehow helped him overcome obstacles in his path. Through his talk at TEDxAvicenna Cinere School, Faza aims to share his insights with others, encouraging discipline as a key to life using video games as a unique perspective. Faza will be one of the speakers at the TEDxAvicenna Cinere School Main Event on June 22nd, 2025

Haidar Fariza

Mochammad Haidar Abhirama Fariza is an 11 year old 5th grade student at Avicenna Jagakarsa Elementary School. He comes from a family of teachers. He likes playing with his friends and video games. He’s a newcomer, having moved from East Java and is an active student. He has won four different competitions, including Gramedia Science Day and the FLSA English Competition. He has also become a Student Guide at Avicenna Jagakarsa. He will be one of the speakers at the TEDxAvicenna Cinere School Pre Event on May 24th, 2025.

Iwan Pranoto

Professor of Mathematics

Iwan Pranoto, Ph.D., is a professor of mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). His experience of mathematics includes more than twenty five years of expertise in mathematics education, spreading from primary to university levels. Besides mathematical sciences, at present, he teaches courses in the master of mathematics for teachers program at ITB. He obtained his undergraduate degree in mathematics from ITB and his Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Toronto, Canada. He will uncover the paradox in our classrooms: learning, meant to spark curiosity, is seen as a burden. Let’s rediscover learning not as pressure, but as enjoyment. Not punishment, but thrill. This is a heroic task we’ve forgotten. Professor Iwan Pranoto will be one of the speakers at the TEDxAvicenna Cinere School Pre Event on May 24th, 2025.

Karinka Ngabito

Grief Advocate and Therapeutic Expressive Arts Facilitator

Karinka Ngabito is the founder of a mental health service in Indonesia. She loves art and uses it as a way to express her life journey. Her experience with grief both personally and through helping clients has led her to find new meaning in life. Karinka will share how to find strength in silence through art. She will be one of the speakers at the TEDxAvicenna Cinere School Pre Event on May 24th, 2025.

Laire Sadewo

Laire Kenzie Swamurti Sadewo, a 14 year old student from Avicenna Cinere Junior High School, exemplifies quiet strength in both character and action. Known for her calm determination and thoughtful approach, Laire embraces challenges not for recognition but from a genuine desire to learn and make a meaningful impact. This mindset earned her the Grand Award and Gold Medal in the field of Technology at the 2025 Indonesian Student Research Competition (ISRC). Her journey is marked by patience, persistence and steady growth. She believes that true strength lies in quiet resilience like showing up, staying committed and moving forward even when progress is unseen. Currently, she is actively developing her skills in public speaking and research competitions, growing steadily while staying true to the values that define her. Laire will be one of the speakers at the TEDxAvicenna Cinere School Main Event on June 22nd, 2025.

Lu'lu Islami

Lu’lu Naja Veris Islami is a 17 year old 11th grade student at Avicenna Jagakarsa Senior High School. She has a lot of energy and enthusiasm for trying new experiences and enjoys learning about Indonesian culture, which has led her to win trophies in areas ranging from traditional sports to traditional music. She especially enjoys being involved in organizations where she can be useful to the people around her. She has been involved in the student council since junior high school and is now serving as the head of the student council at her school. She is also actively involved in the youth organization in her neighborhood. In the future, she hopes to leave a broader legacy in a larger organization. Nevertheless, she believes that heroism and leadership are not only about being part of a community organization or winning a competition, sometimes heroism goes unseen and unheard. Lu’lu will be one of the speakers at the TEDxAvicenna Cinere School Main Event on June 22nd, 2025.

Ni Made Shriyaputri

Ni Made Anandita Shriyaputri, usually known as Putri, is a 15 year old 9th grade student at Avicenna Cinere Junior High School. Her interests span music, science, mathematics and sports each one teaching her different ways to grow, express herself, and face new challenges. She constantly seeks new challenges by trying various musical instruments and being part of a music ensemble that performs at various school events. In her talk, Putri reflects on a powerful realization, that waiting to be saved can sometimes hold us back from becoming who we’re meant to be. Through her experiences, she shares how passion and persistence can lead us forward, even when no one else does. Her story is a reminder that true strength often begins the moment we decide to show up for ourselves. Putri will be one of the speakers at the TEDxAvicenna Cinere School Main Event on June 22nd, 2025.

Salma Kyana

Medical Doctor, Researcher and Mental Health Advocate

Salma Kyana is a medical doctor, researcher, and mental health advocate who turned her personal journey with vitiligo into a powerful mission of self love and empowerment. Once burdened by insecurities, she transformed her inner struggles into strength inspiring others to embrace their uniqueness through her work as a the founder of Yayasan Mengenal Diri, a nonprofit promoting mental health awareness among Indonesian youth. Crowned Puteri Indonesia DKI Jakarta Favorit 2023 and Putri Batik Nusantara 2018, Salma also models proudly with her vitiligo, using her platform to challenge beauty standards and advocate for authenticity. She has co-authored a guided journaling book, led nation-wide mental health initiatives, and represented Indonesia on international scientific stages. Salma’s story is a testament to the healing power of self-acceptance and a reminder that vulnerability, when embraced, becomes a force for change.

Sayyid Alamsyah

Sayyid Emirhakim Nur Alamsyah is a 15 year old 9th grade student at Avicenna Cinere Junior High School. Emir is deeply interested in photography and is often involved in capturing moments at various events, as well as participating in school film projects as a cameraman. His passion for photography was sparked by the figure behind the iconic photo of Albert Einstein. From that moment, he realized that anyone can be a hero and inspire others even from behind the camera. For him, photography is not just about taking pictures, but about capturing stories and seeing life from a different perspective. Emir will be one of the speakers at the TEDxAvicenna Cinere School Main Event on June 22nd, 2025.

Tyo Guritno

CEO, Co-Founder and Entrepreneur

Tyo Guritno is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the technology industry, including 12 years in Silicon Valley. Throughout his career, he has worked with leading companies such as Electronic Arts and Pandora, where he played a key role in product development and user experience. He has successfully built and exited two tech startups, showcasing his ability to turn innovative ideas into impactful businesses. Currently, he serves as the CEO and Co-founder of Inspigo, a professional learning platform that leverages generative AI to deliver personalized development solutions. In his entrepreneurial work, he is also an innovation mentor for major organizations including Pertamina, FIF AHM, Bank Indonesia, and Indihome, helping them embrace transformation and forward-thinking strategies. He is a certified coach in the Behavior Model, developed by BJ Fogg, emphasizing habit formation and behavior change an approach he integrates into his leadership and mentoring.

Wisnu Dewobroto

President Commissioner, Dean and Entrepreneur

Dr. Wisnu Sakti Dewobroto is an entrepreneur and entrepreneurship advocate. For over 20 years he has actively supported entrepreneurs through various institutions, government ministries and community initiatives. He has a passion for entrepreneurship and innovation. He spent more than 5 years as part of the team formulating entrepreneurship strategies at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. Since 2022 he has served as an Expert Advisor under the Deputy for Entrepreneurship at the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). He has received several awards including the ACSB Presidential Award in 2023 for his impact on the growth of MSMEs in Indonesia. He is currently active and holds the position of President Commissioner at Gajah Mungkur Group as well as Dean of the Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Business at Podomoro University. He will be one of the speakers at the TEDxAvicenna Cinere School Main Event on June 22nd, 2025.

Yazra Allizwell

A 14 year old 8th grade student from Avicenna Cinere Junior High School, Yazra Elsya Allizwell is active in student organizations and deeply passionate about learning and self development. Her enthusiasm for leading various events and frequently serving as an MC reflects her love for engaging in social activities. She brings a thoughtful perspective to the world around her and will share how everyday actions can create extraordinary impact. Her talk reminds us that we don’t need to wear a cape to matter, we need the courage to care. Through this deeply personal and inspiring message, Yazra empowers the audience to recognize their own inner hero not by becoming someone else, but by embracing who they already are. Yazra will be one of the speakers at the TEDxAvicenna Cinere School Pre Event on May 24th, 2025.
