Public speaking and debating are central to life at Eaton Square Prep. We believe confident and thoughtful communication prepares our pupils not just for senior school, but for life.

This year’s theme, Through New Eyes, reflects the powerful ideas shared by our young speakers as they explore change, challenge and fresh perspective.

Since 2020, our TEDx programme has given 30 pupils in Years 5 and 6 the chance to speak on a global platform. Each May or June, children present their talks live to the whole school at St Michael’s Church in Westminster, London. Talks are then filmed, submitted to TEDx and shared worldwide on YouTube.

TEDx 2025 also marks the final year of Mr Hepher’s outstanding contribution as Co-Organizer. We are deeply grateful for his creativity, commitment and support from the very beginning.

The event forms part of our wider oracy programme, led by our vibrant Debating Club, which includes the Cicero Cup, visits to Parliament and City Hall, and regular opportunities for public speaking throughout school life.
