Theme: Beyond Boundaries

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alhaji Allie Bangura

Allie Bangura is a leader in diversity, empowerment, and Africa-Europe collaboration. He co-founded ADAN Impact GmbH in 2022, which operates ADAN Careers, Europe’s top career platform for Black professionals and People of Color. In 2014, he founded ADAN e.V., the largest Afro-Diasporic network in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with over 600 members in 10 cities. Born to Sierra Leonean immigrants and raised in Germany, Allie Bangura was the first in his family to pursue higher education, earning a Master’s in International Business and Politics from Queen Mary University of London and a certificate in Venture Financing from the University of Oxford. Under his leadership, ADAN e.V. launched impactful initiatives like ADAN Elevate, promoting entrepreneurship and diaspora innovation. He advises SASD Global Ltd., supports African startups through StArfrica, and is a BMW Foundation Responsible Leader and LinkedIn Top Voice 2024. Recognized for his expertise in finance and inclusive leadership, Allie Bangura is a passionate advocate for sustainable change and empowerment.

Daan Arrow

Daan Arrow (Daan Pijl) thrives on pushing beyond boundaries, viewing each day as an opportunity for self-improvement. Motorsport serves as his ultimate proving ground for resilience and determination. Born in Amsterdam - In 2023, he competed with Lamborghini in GT Open and Super Trofeo. Now driving for Mercedes-AMG, he joins Winward Racing for the GT World Challenge Endurance Campaign and Good Speed Racing in GT Open, with aspirations to conquer legendary endurance races like Le Mans and Daytona.

Thomas Friebe

Thomas Friebe is a father of four, entrepreneur, best-selling author, expert on convincing performance and, as a voice actor, one of the most heard voices on German television. Since he suffered from microphone fear at the beginning of his career as a young radio journalist and was able to successfully overcome this, he has made it his mission to free people with the same challenges from these blockages and fears. "Only then", says Thomas, "can we develop our full potential and this", he is convinced, "is not only our right, but also our duty". Over the last twelve years Thomas has helped hundreds of customers overcome their fear of speaking.
