In a world of constant change, the most impactful progress often comes from individuals and communities harnessing their strengths to drive innovation, inspire change, and solve pressing challenges. Doing What We Do Best! celebrates the power of expertise, passion, and resilience in shaping a better future.

This theme highlights the importance of individuals leveraging their unique skills, knowledge, ideas and experiences to create meaningful impact. Whether in science, technology, arts, education, or activism, true transformation begins when people commit to excelling in their fields and using their abilities for the greater good.

TEDxUniversityofCapeCoast 2025 will explore how individuals, organizations, and communities are making a difference by focusing on what they do best—whether through groundbreaking research, creative expression, entrepreneurship, or social advocacy.

The event will showcase stories of excellence, perseverance, and purpose, inspiring attendees to embrace their strengths and contribute to positive change in their own way.

Christian Yiadom Boakye

Entrepreneur
Christian Yiadom Boakye is the founder and CEO of CEQA Foods and Beverages Ghana Ltd, operators of Pizzaman-Chickenman with 90+ outlets. A KNUST Actuarial Science graduate (First Class), he holds diplomas in Food & Beverage Management, Data Analysis, and CRM, and is pursuing a Master’s in Operations Management at Salford. He’s created 1,000+ jobs and earned numerous awards including NUGS Entrepreneur of the Year (2021, 2022) and FMCG Leader (2024). Christian has spoken at Harvard, KNUST, and Vodafone events. His business was selected as a Harvard Business School case study under the Field Global Immersion program in 2023 and 2024.

Edward Asare

Marketing Communicator
Edward Asare is a celebrated marketing communication professional, PR expert, andblogger passionate about storytelling and youth empowerment. He holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Ghana and an MA in Digital Communication Management from UPSA. With career roots at TV3, Edward has worked with top brands like UBA Ghana, and now Enterprise Insurance. He's a fellow of the AGYLE 2023 program in Berlin, where he connects with African and German innovators for digital transformation. Named Digital Influencer (2020) and Marketing Professional of the Year (2021). As a board member of Ennobled Foundation, he champions education, youth empowerment, and personal development through storytelling, mentorship, and strategic digital engagement.

Eldad Nutakor

Thinker & Generalist
Eldad is a creative strategist, innovation leader, and curious cat on a mission to shape Africa's future through clarity, creativity, and commerce. He enables businesses and individuals to discover their true advantage and build context-aware solutions. As founder of Oxegene, a communication company, he helps organisations improve their reputation and grow through storytelling and communication design. He’s led cryptocurrency adoption efforts, shaped digital strategies for governments, and built Ghana's leading product design communities. He advises startups, helping technical founders build sustainable businesses. Eldad believes Africa has the talent and resources; what’s missing are bold, native visionaries. He intends to be one.

James Annor Tetteh

Social Media Influencer & Philanthropist
James Annor Tetteh, popularly known as Nana Tea, is a Ghanaian social media influencer and philanthropist. From humble beginnings in Asesewa, he overcame hardship, including losing his mother at 14 and hawking to fund his education. A graduate of Accra Technical University, he now works as a Water Quality Analyst. Passionate about giving back, Nana Tea uses his online platforms to support students, persons with disabilities, widows, and single mothers. His impact has earned national recognition, including the 2025 Digital Hero for MTN Heroes of Change, a spot among Ghana’s Top 100 Change Makers. A devoted Christian, husband, and father, Nana Tea lives to serve and uplift others.

Jesse Sunkwa-Mills

Creative Director & Animator
Jesse Sunkwa-Mills is a Ghanaian filmmaker, animator, and entrepreneur pioneering African storytelling through animation. As CEO of Mills Media, he created the acclaimed 3D film Asantewaa: Battle for the Golden Stool, which won Best Animation at the African Indigenous Language Film Festival. His subsequent works, RISE and The Guardians, achieved consecutive sold-out premieres in Ghana. Jesse also founded Afrotales+, a streaming platform for African animated content, and Mills Media Academy, training young creatives. Serving as Executive Secretary of the Animators Association of Ghana, he continues to elevate African narratives on global stages.

Joshua Buernortey Boye-Doe

Social Media Influencer
Joshua Buernortey Boye-Doe, popularly known as KalyJay, is a Ghanaian social media influencer, digital activist, and PR strategist redefining youth advocacy online. Known for launching the viral #FixTheCountry movement in 2021, he mobilized thousands to demand government's transparency and accountability. KalyJay uses his X platform to spotlight governance, music, and humanitarian causes. In 2023, he founded The Bro Code, supporting men with medical and educational needs. By 2025, he partnered with the European Union in Ghana and the Government of Ghana to host X Space discussions on youth development and support. KalyJay is a powerful voice inspiring civic action and change through digital platforms.

Kafui Prebbie, MBI

Impact Entrepreneur & Group CEO
Kafui PREBBIE is an Impact Entrepreneur with 20+ years of experience in digital transformation and social impact. A Harvard-trained leader, he founded TECHAiDE, creators of ASANKA—a smart learning device transforming education in rural Africa without the internet. He also founded and leads IMPLEMENTERS and SHELBBiE Homes, blending tech, development, and real estate. His work on over 150 projects funded by USAID, CAMFED, and the Commonwealth of Learning earned him induction into the Corporate Ghana Hall of Fame. Kafui is on a mission to empower Africa through innovation. Through the Kafui Prebbie Foundation, he supports underprivileged youth with education and healthcare.

Kwabena Obeng Darko

Engineer, Entrepreneur and Arthur
Kwabena Obeng Darko is a Ghanaian entrepreneur, engineer, and author with diverse interests in fashion retail, construction, and real estate development. He holds a BSc in Agricultural Engineering from KNUST and an MSc in Bioprocess Engineering from University College Dublin. Passionate about financial literacy and entrepreneurship, he has authored 11 books on business, mindset, and African self-empowerment. Kwabena shares insights on African dignity, personal development, and real estate through his seminars and digital platforms, OBENG DARKO, on YouTube and Facebook. A frequent guest on TV and radio, he lives in Accra with his wife, Marie, and their children.

Lady Comfort Ocran

Executive Director
Comfort Ocran is a renowned Ghanaian motivational speaker, author, and youth development advocate. She is CEO of Legacy & Legacy and Executive Director of the Springboard Road Show Foundation, one of Ghana’s top youth empowerment platforms. Comfort co-founded Combert Impressions and holds a Master’s in Linguistics from the University of Ghana. She has co-authored over 20 books with Albert Ocran, including The Lord, Madiba and the Eagle and Speak Like a Pro. A Fellow of the Aspen Institute and Africa Leadership Initiative, she is also an alum of the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program.

Peter Bawuah, MA

Inspirational Speaker
Peter Bawuah, MA, is an inspirational speaker, education advocate, and humanitarian dedicated to empowering the next generation. As the founder of the PeterHills Needy Foundation, he has inspired over 10,000 students across rural communities in Ghana and Africa through his social media handles, particularly Facebook on Peter Bawuah TV. A former teaching assistant at KNUST, Peter has addressed audiences of over 800 students, offering both academic support and motivational guidance. His commitment to youth development has led him to speak on international platforms, including engagements in Germany, Belgium, and the UK. A UN Delegate with the FWWUN, Peter continues to champion education, policy, and research initiatives aimed at uplifting underprivileged communities.

Precious Mmiba Tidogo-Asampoah

Fundraiser
Precious Mmiba Tidogo-Asampoah is a passionate tech enthusiast, network engineering graduate, and the first university graduate in her generation. Raised in a low-income household with no educational background, she overcame immense challenges while supporting her seven younger siblings through school. From selling kenkey to studying Computer Science at university, Precious embodies resilience and purpose. Her journey proves that with determination, dreams can defy circumstance. She now advocates for students from low-income families and young women in tech, inspiring others to rise above self-doubt and hardship. Precious is living proof that no matter where you start, you can do it—and do it well.

Prof. Dorcas Obiri-Yeboah (MBChB, PhD)

Professor of Clinical Microbiology
Prof. Dorcas Obiri-Yeboah is a Professor of Clinical Microbiology at the University of Cape Coast, where she also serves as Deputy Director at the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Consultancy (DRIC). As clinician-scientist, her work focuses on HIV, HPV, and viral hepatitis, with over 120 peer-reviewed publications. She is Ghana’s Ambassador for the International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS) and contributed to the most recent WHO cervical cancer screening guidelines. She’s a former Dean of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, UCC and a global voice in infectious disease research and women’s health with a focus on elimination of cervical cancer.

Rebecca Osam

Ms. Rebecca Osam is a visionary entrepreneur with a background in performing arts from the UK. She studied at Richmond upon Thames College and worked in theatre, television, and music, including a girl band managed by Outside Organisation. In 2014, she founded Reflo Company Ltd to offer high-quality, affordable products in Africa. Her product line includes baby and adult diapers, sanitary pads, pantyliners, wipes, toilet tissues, and washing powder. She leads multiple companies, including Reflo’s TV and Femme Fatale Studios. Passionate about women’s empowerment, she co-founded The Florence Mensah Foundation. Her leadership continues to shape Africa’s business and creative sectors.

Umaru Sanda Amadu

Umaru Sanda Amadu is a distinguished Ghanaian broadcast journalist, celebrated for his compelling storytelling and commitment to social justice. Affectionately known as the "Cowboy Journalist" due to his upbringing as a herdsman, he has risen to prominence as a news anchor and host on Citi FM and Channel One TV. Umaru's impactful documentaries, such as The Fulani Revealed, have garnered international acclaim, earning him accolades like the WASH Media Award and a state honor for his role during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2024, he achieved a significant milestone by earning an LLB from Central University College, reflecting his dedication to continuous learning. His journey from humble beginnings to a leading voice in journalism exemplifies resilience and the transformative power of media.

As a Certified Time Mastery Coach, she has personally coached over 200 students across 10 countries and 5 Ghanaian universities. She is the creator of the DeCatalyst Time Mastery Semester Planner for Students, a powerful tool that helps students plan and thrive. Her work has earned her partnerships with NUGS, NAHSAG, GPSA-UCC, SFAN, and others.
