The theme "A New Hope" highlights the power of youth to address pressing social, environmental, and technological challenges. This half-day event will foster learning and collaboration through thought-provoking talks and performances, aiming to empower the next generation to lead with hope, creativity, and innovation.

Dr. Ihsan Ayyub Qazi

Tenured Associate Professor & former Chair, Department of Computer Science, Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE), LUMS Area of Expertise: Networked systems researcher specializing in cloud computing, data‑center and wireless networking, computational social science, and digital development (AI/LLM impacts on society, misinformation, privacy, edge datacenters)
Dr. Ihsan Ayyub Qazi is a tenured Associate Professor of Computer Science at LUMS, where he previously served as Department Chair at the Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering. His research spans cloud computing, data center networks, wireless systems, and the societal impacts of AI and large language models. With a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and postdoctoral training at UC Berkeley, Dr. Qazi brings global expertise to digital development challenges, including misinformation, privacy, and equitable internet access. His work has been published in leading international venues and cited by global tech companies and policymakers. A strong advocate for inclusive digital infrastructure in South Asia, he regularly consults on technology policy and the future of ethical computing.

Dr. Yaqoob Khan Bangash

Historian of Modern South Asia | Fulbright Fellow, Harvard University
Dr. Yaqoob Khan Bangash is a renowned historian specializing in Modern South Asia, with a particular focus on Pakistan's constitutional and political development. A Fulbright Fellow at Harvard University's Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute, Dr. Bangash is also the founding director of the Centre for Governance and Policy at ITU Lahore. His scholarship explores the legacy of partition, state formation in Pakistan, and the role of religion and identity in postcolonial governance. A Rhodes Scholar and frequent commentator on South Asian affairs, Dr. Bangash bridges academic rigor with public engagement, using history as a lens to better understand contemporary challenges in Pakistan and beyond.

Hammad Naqi Khan

Director General, WWF-Pakistan
Hammad Naqi Khan is the Director General of WWF-Pakistan and a leading voice in environmental conservation across South Asia. A lifelong environmentalist, he has dedicated his career to preserving biodiversity, advocating climate action, and integrating innovative technology into conservation efforts. With over 25 years of leadership in environmental policy and practice, Hammad has spearheaded major sustainability campaigns, youth engagement programs, and wildlife protection projects in Pakistan. He is a frequent speaker at national and international forums and remains a passionate advocate for grassroots stewardship of nature.

Khansa Maria

Disability Advocate, Rhodes Scholar & DPhil Candidate in Education
Khansa Maria is a passionate advocate for disability inclusion and accessibility. She is currently pursuing her DPhil (PhD) in Education at the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. With lived experience of blindness, she brings a powerful voice to conversations on reimagining normalcy, challenging societal perceptions, and promoting inclusive education. Khansa is also a disability consultant and public speaker who has worked across Pakistan and internationally to advance accessibility in policy, education, and technology.

Maqbool A Babri

Performance Psychologist & Sports Hypnotherapist
Maqbool A. Babri, affectionately known as Max Babri, is a renowned performance psychologist, hypnotherapist, and leadership coach. As the CEO (and self-declared TeaBoy) at The Konsultants, Max has worked across Pakistan and beyond, helping individuals and teams unlock their potential through applied psychology, NLP, and therapeutic coaching. With decades of experience counseling professionals, students, athletes, and leaders, he has served as the official sports psychologist for the Pakistan national cricket team. Max is passionate about mental resilience, emotional healing, and authentic leadership—and brings humor, humility, and heart to every interaction.

Ramiz Raja

Former National Cricket Captain & Cricket Commentator
Ramiz Raja is a renowned figure in Pakistan cricket, having served as national captain in both Tests and ODIs during the 1990s. A gifted opening batsman, he made a lasting mark on the 1992 Cricket World Cup with a “Player of the Match” century in a historic win over England. After retiring, he transitioned into broadcasting and cricket administration, becoming a respected commentator, television host, and analyst.
