Prof. Anita Vreugdenhil is a Pediatric Gastroenterologist and Professor at Maastricht University Medical Center and the founder of COACH- an expertise centre for children living with overweight and obesity. Together with her team, she developed a practice science based approach that tackles the complex reality behind childhood obesity with empathy and effectiveness. Their method is simple, scalable, and adaptable to any setting- empowering families and communities across the globe to create a healthier future for children everywhere.

Fatima was born and raised in Senegal. She is currently first year students at United World College Maastricht. Fatima has been in a competitive and relatively strictly boarding school since the age of 11 which has changed her conception of identity as she was growing up.
Kurika Sakaguchi

Born and raised in Japan, studied in Canada for two years and currently she is in the final year of the IBDP programme at United World College Maastricht. She has been interested in social issues since the age of 4 when she learnt about global warming from the situation of polar bears at the zoo. She is a member of a non-governmental organization Free the Children Japan since 2016 and founded the student organization Connection our Earth. She serves as its representative since 2020. Currently, she is involved in raising awareness for children's rights and working to solve environmental issues.

Tetsuro Miyazaki was born in Belgium and has been living in the Netherlands for over 25 years. Tetsuro works as creative centipede at Zuiderlicht, a creative communications agency in Maastricht. He is the co-founder of KRNWTR, a brand that promotes drinking tap water over bottled water.
